Alcohol Withdrawals

Alcohol withdrawal syndrome is a potentially life-threatening condition that can occur in people who have been drinking heavily for weeks, months, or years and then either stop or significantly reduce their alcohol consumption.

drinkingHeavy, prolonged drinking—especially excessive daily drinking—disrupts the brain's neurotransmitters, the brain chemicals that transmit messages.

Initially, alcohol enhances the effect of GABA, the neurotransmitter which produces feelings of relaxation and calm. But chronic alcohol consumption eventually suppresses GABA activity so that more and more alcohol is required to produce the desired effects, a phenomenon known as tolerance.

Glutamate Suppression

Chronic alcohol consumption also suppresses the activity of » glutamate, the neurotransmitter which produces feelings of excitability. To maintain equilibrium, the glutamate system responds by functioning at a far higher level than it does in moderate drinkers and nondrinkers.

When heavy drinkers suddenly stop or significantly reduce their alcohol consumption, the neurotransmitters previously suppressed by alcohol are no longer suppressed; they rebound, resulting in a phenomenon known as brain hyperexcitability. So, the effects associated with alcohol withdrawal—anxiety, irritability, agitation, tremors, seizures, and DTs—are the opposite of those associated with alcohol consumption.

Symptoms of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome

In general, the severity of alcohol withdrawal symptoms increases in tandem with the amount and duration of prior alcohol consumption.

Minor alcohol withdrawal symptoms often appear six to 12 hours after alcohol cessation, sometimes while patients still have a measurable blood alcohol level. These symptoms include:

Between 12 and 24 hours after alcohol cessation, some patients may experience visual, auditory, or tactile hallucinations which usually end within 48 hours. Although this condition is called alcoholic hallucinosis, it's not the same as the hallucinations associated with DTs. Most patients are aware that the unusual sensations aren't real.

Overcoming

victoryOvercoming or conquering something, happens by being a standard. In other words: Being the salt of the earth, being the light on the hill; standing our ground.

Any self-identity is only an awareness of the physical existence. For this we have brains. And just like animals have that same awareness and their own brains, with which they navigate and coordinate movements, their souls carry instincts, which are feelings like those of self-preservation.

Fish, birds, insects, and mammals pass these survival instincts on to their offspring. Salmon spawns in fresh water swimming upstream, birds catch pray just as lions live in prides and hunt together. They all have the some coordinating movements. So brain and soul must work together and be at peace. This symbiotic relationship leads to victory over any obstacles in life.

There is no point in fighting with sexual feelings or with hunger, just as one should not fight against bowel movement and elimination for these are only natural to the body.

The chemical equations below summarize the fermentation of sucrose (C12H22O11) into ethanol (C2H5OH). Alcoholic fermentation converts one mole of sucrose into four moles of ethanol and four moles of carbon dioxide, producing two moles of ATP in the process.

The overall chemical formula for alcoholic fermentation is:

C6H12O6 + Zymase → 2 C2H5OH + 2 CO2

Sucrose is a dimer of glucose and fructose molecules. In the first step of alcoholic fermentation, the enzyme invertase cleaves the glycosidic linkage between the glucose and fructose molecules.

C12H22O11 + H2O + invertase → 2 C6H12O6

Next, each glucose molecule is broken down into two pyruvate molecules in a process known as glycolysis.[1] Glycolysis is summarized by the equation:

C6H12O6 + 2 ADP + 2 Pi + 2 NAD+ → 2 CH3COCOO− + 2 ATP + 2 NADH + 2 H2O + 2 H+

The chemical formula of pyruvate is CH3COCOO−. Pi stands for the inorganic phosphate.

As shown by the reaction equation, glycolysis causes the reduction of two molecules of NAD+ to NADH. Two ADP molecules are also converted to two ATP and two water molecules via substrate-level phosphorylation.

Starches converted into sugar

Beer, whiskey, and vodka are produced by fermentation of grain starches that have been converted to sugar by the enzyme amylase, which is present in grain kernels that have been malted (i.e. germinated). Other sources of starch (e.g. potatoes and unmalted grain) may be added to the mixture, as the amylase will act on those starches as well. Whiskey and vodka are also distilled; gin and related beverages are produced by the addition of flavoring agents to a vodka-like feedstock during distillation.

A feeding on yeast cells bacteria, and defecating, causes fermentation in the production of beer and all alcoholic beverages. In other words, it's a nice tall glass of bacterial doo-doo.

Besides the well-known effect of excessive alcohol consumption that damages the largest organ in our body the liver; alcohol damages every other organ as well.

According to God's Law, anything decomposing is unclean and that goes for fecal matter, animal or human. Therefore, alcohol in small quantities may be of help, but in large quantities it is poisonous. Just as one would ingest too much of decomposed dead matter; so it the same with bacterial fecal waste.

Diseases like Ebola breed in decomposing human corpses, which then contaminate water in rivers, streams and ponds.

In Judaism burials of all deceased is performed no later than the next day, max two.

Passover Wine (Judaism)

Kosher alcoholic beverages do not contain yeast (Hebrew hametz). While all wines require some sort of mold (yeast) for fermentation, kosher for Passover wine must be made from a mold that has not been grown on bread (such as sugar or fruit) and must exclude several common preservatives, like potassium-sorbate.

All Israeli wines are kosher for Passover and most (but not all) kosher wines are kosher for Passover. However, by no means "Kosher" is an endorsement of alcohol. No. Any decomposition in an alcohol producing process breeds uncleanness/fecal matter; therefore, alcohol consumption over long periods of time may result in complications starting with the liver and then it spreads to other organs.

Mold & Yeast

Human body cannot handle yeast, and its decomposition. During the feast of Passover all yeast, or baking soda in breads, is stopped. For seven days no (hametz, leaven) must be found in Jewish homes. God instituted this de-leavening process long time before science. This tradition is ancient. Unleavened bread connotes something holy, set aside as something special. Often unleavened cases were quickly baked for the guests. Abraham, Lot, Gideon and Manoah; all have prepared unleavened cases for the visiting angels. Some ate, but some did not, because some of them were real people (overcomers who conquered death, translated human beings, sons of God a term often confused with angels who are spirits). Those who did not eat human food were angels, but those who did eat unleavened cakes were translated human beings (see Genesis 18:6; 19:3; Judges 6:19; 13:3-21).

Unleavened bread is a good way of ridding the body of fungi. Many skin diseases are also related to yeast infections. The bottom line: excessive eating of white bread and starches is bad because they ferment in the body producing (small amounts of) alcohol. Small, because it is eliminated by the digestive system, but then it can also disturb digestion. Food decomposes in your stomach and it is hardly absorbed resulting in greater hunger for more yeast. This hunger for starch is not yours but of the organisms that feed on it inside your body. As a result your feed the yeast eating bacteria rather than nourish your own organism.

Why was Noah found naked in his tent? Alcohol was not yet known, so Noah's DNA contained no memories/markings in those days. The surge of relaxation and heat permeated his body knocked him out. Noah was so hot that he stripped his clothes off and laid naked when he was found by Ham. Today. our genes, marked by the use of alcohol of our predecessors, do not react the same way. Also our brain acts differently today than 4400 years ago. Imagine how it would be to have been like the pre-drunken Noah?

Nazirites

samsonBiblical figures like Samuel and Samson were Nazirites, which involved the growth of long hair never to be cut. Both Samuel and Samson did not get their hair cut. In the well known case of Samson, it was Delilah who cut his hair thus the Nazarite law was broken and Samson lost his supernatural strength.

Besides the long hair, also the consumption of alcohol was forbidden, and in order to ensure the power of the covenant even grapes or raisins were not allowed. A Nazirite could not come near the human corpse even that of his own deceased parents. [Read more about it in the Book of Numbers 6.]

Since alcohol is made from a bacterial waste, it is unclean just as all feces are. Because of the decomposition, breakdown and conversion of anything dead, as it is true of the vow of the Nazirite, it is deemed to be unclean.

In the same vein: [Leviticus 10:8-10] The LORD then spoke to Aaron, saying, [9] “Do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons with you, when you come into the tent of meeting, so that you will not die—it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations—[10] and so as to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean…

It is not to say that we must constantly watch what we consume and touch. No. What God is saying here is that we should be conscious of His utter holiness and that He wants to fellowship with us much closer than we could have ever imagined. Therefore it is the consciousness of His presence that keeps us on the right track.

Humanity lost all contact with God, and why? - Lazyness and indifference. It takes so little to be near Him and Him near us. We have twisted things to suit. As a result He cannot come near us, because of our messed up consciousness.

The Torah (Five Books of Moses) deal with the clean and unclean, sin, wickedness, transgression and abomination. Each activity is determined by the Torah. Sin is not uncleanness, neither wickedness an abomination, but these are the aspects of human behavior across the definable lines.

Alcohol produced from grapes without yeast, which grows on bread (hametz) is (kosher) okay for Passover. And although it contains decomposed unclean organic matter; it is accepted, but only accepted, or permitted.

It is not God’s perfect will for us to drink alcohol in any form. However, wine in itself is not bad (only unclean). Alcohol can impair judgment and interfere with our peace.
